Rain, rain
Things are definitely getting lighter around here. I know that because I was able to take the time to put up those Disney photos yesterday without feeling like there was something else I should be doing. (There were, in fact, a number of things I should have been doing, but I’ll get to them, and I needed the break.)
I even decided I wanted to see a movie this weekend. We rarely go to the movies but I’d seen a few ads and blurbs for films I might enjoy. But, of course, two are films that only opened in NYC (Good Night, and Good Luck and Capote) and the other two aren’t even open yet (Domino and Elizabethtown.) I was tempted to see Wallace & Grommit, since we’ve been fans for years, but then the kids would insist on coming along and date night just isn’t the same when the kids come along.
So instead we hung out and watched baseball, read the paper… today Pat took Tim & Nick to my nephew’s birthday party, while Andy is doing homework watching baseball & football. I’m looking through catalogs for a new vanity for our bathroom (not the master bath!) The rain is still coming down now and then. And I’m relaxed.

Here you are finally back and blogging, and I’ve been AWOL all week! Glad you survived your trip to principal’s office and the field trip. I hear you are really getting hammered with the rain, so staying home sounds like a good plan to me.
Elizabethtown premiered here (and in E-town) a couple of weeks ago, so Orlando Bloom was all over the paper. I was almost late for a hair appointment last year when they had my route there closed for filming. So of course now I HAVE to see the film.

Lets all go see Elizabethtown together! I love Orlando Bloom! Anyway, we’re getting pounded today with rain. So far just at 2″. And it’s cold. Got the fireplace going!
